The Story

Birch Plywood 1x1200x600 mm is a highly versatile, cross-glued thin Birch plywood designed for projects that require smooth curves and easy bending. These premium panels are made entirely from rotary-cut birch veneers, from core to surface.

Description: Finnish Birch plywood is harvested in Finland. Due to frosts, this plywood has a very light natural colour.

Each panel features a seamless, non-patched birch veneer face, showcasing natural wood grain patterns for an elegant and distinctive finish. This durable, non-toxic plywood bends smoothly into a variety of shapes without cracking. The surface may be left untreated to highlight the organic beauty of birch, or finish it with varnish, wax, or stain.

  • This is a high-quality decorative material. The surface is sanded on both faces.
  • 1 mm plywood meets EN 71-3 safety standards, making it suitable for products intended for children.
  • It is composed of 3 birch plies by cross bonding with interior glue, no visible glue line.

Appearance grades of the Birch Flexible Plywood:

  • AB – Face grade ideal for staining, lacquering, and painting. Few pin knots or healthy and adhering knots without cracks. A very light in contrast discoloration is allowed as well as good quality putty or repair work that blends in with the rest of the surface.
  • (Premium Grade) Practically without defects. Discoloration is allowed up to 15% of the sheet surface, and loose knots and knotholes sized up to 5 mm are allowed up to 3 per m2

Applications: interior, architectural design, laser cutting, decorative, DIY and hobby projects (rc aircraft and 3D modelling).

Processing options: Laser cutting, staining, painting, oiling, waxing.

Manufacturer: Koskiflex, Koskisen

Country of Origin: Finland
