The Story
Description: Birch Ply Battens are composed of 1.4mm thick birch plies cross-bonded with either melamine urea glue (interior glue, no visible glue line) or phenol-formaldehyde glue (exterior glue (WBP), brown glue line). The surface is sanded on both faces.
Appearance according to EN 636-2:
BB – Discolouration is allowed up to 70% of a sheet's surface. Loose knots and open defects are patched; patches (plugs) should match the surrounding grain direction and colour.
Applications: Batten boards, skirting boards, kickboards, architectural design, exterior and interior furniture elements, wall lining, cabinets, joinery, flooring, wall lining, caravan and campervan walls, decorative and structural applications, staircases, partitions, planks, space dividers, DIY and hobby projects.
Processing options: Birch Plywood Battens can be stained, painted, oiled and waxed.
